Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Last night I saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and honestly, I was surprised. I mean, when I saw the trailer, I knew that I'd enjoy it because of the japanimation, but every element in that movie came together just beautifully. The plot, which found the Turtles in a post-Shredder world facing a new enemy ("awakened 3000 years ago"), the character developments (especially the relational conflicts between Leonardo and Raphael), as well as the animation and music, all delivered a result that satisfied me as a Turtles fan.

I never did think that the movies gave them justice, but this one might just go down as one of my favorite animated movies of all time, and I know that it already is the best Turtles movie thus far. Like I said, the music in the movie was also really well done, and there were a couple tracks from the soundtrack and movie that caught my ear, and so I figured I'd share those with ya. The track that I absolutely love is the one by P.O.D. (with a semi-NIN feel) - it was placed in the movie leading up to the climax (big fight scene and all that jazz), and it was just perfect for that. Another one was by Big City Rock, and has this alt-country feel to it. I might just have to check out more of their stuff. As for now, check out these tracks. If you're a punk-pop kinda person, the rest of the album is highly recommended. If you haven't seen the movie, go now!

well, that settles it, I'll have to see this movie. Not like there was much of a chance that I wouldn't, although I was a little bummed to hear that Shredder wasn't involved. Maybe next time. . .

Haha... well, it's pretty damn good considering Shredder's not in it. Of course, you're hoping for his return in some form or another because it is Shredder! :p
